Be Healed in the Name of Jesus Christ
When we are sick, do not loose hope. This man struggled with his neck and back pain for more than 10 years. His story says the Lord is still in healing business today!

But He was wounded[a] for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripe we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:3, KJV)
In the year of 2014, I started to have neck and back pains due to long hours of sitting in front of computer and working for plant tissue culture. Especially for my neck, If I bent my head for several hours, I would start to have headaches and shoulder pain. because of that, I could not sleep well. I also needed scarf to wrap around my neck at windy or colder weather, otherwise, I would have the shoulder and head pain as well. If I sit underneath the air outlet of an air conditioner even in the summer, I could not ware any short sleeve shorts. Otherwise, I would have neck pain and headache.
I went to a chiropractic doctor, after an X-ray, I was told that my C3 disk was damaged and should be treated immediately. Otherwise, it will go worse, eventually, I might end up with a surgery to replace that disk. I knew one of my co-workers who had longer tissue culture working experience than me and he ended up with a disk surgery. I decided to sign up with the doctor’s treatment plan. So, the treatment journey started, in order to keep up with the schedule, I have to go to the doctor’s office twice a month in the beginning and later as once a month. I went to this treatment faithfully for the continued 7 years. I would say, my pain level reduced from 8 to 3 over the years. I spent close to $5000 (out of pocket) over this period of time. I am grateful for such treatment comparing all the pains.
In 2023, I attended a conference hosted by pastor Ken Fish (Orbisministries.org). During the conference, God moved powerfully through him and he delivered several demon oppressed people. He also taught lessons about how occult involvement can open the doors for demons to put disease on us. In that context, he taught that Chiropractic practices came out of spiritualism and necromancy origin. I was fully convinced that my sickness must have something to do with the demonic activities. After a careful prayer, I decided to quit the chiropractic treatment. I went to my last treatment and asked my doctor a question? Here are the conversations I can remember:
Me- Doctor, do you know if I have been healed?
Doctor- Based on our treatment history and records, I think you are healed.
Me- But why I have to come to visit every month?
Doctor- Well, just like the car maintenance, you would need tire rotations and oil changes, right?
Me- But you said I was healed …
Anyway, the conversation did go very well, but I firmly and politely told him that I will not come for future treatments any more. After that, I feel normal, but the most strange thing happened when I reached to the one month mark. My body start to have all the bad symptoms again, the pain level reaches back to 8. I felt terrible, the only thought I had at that time was “go, visit the doctor!” My body was screaming at me loud and clear! My wife and I decided to go on a warfare, we told the Lord, since this treatment has the origin of spiritualism and necromancy. I will not go back to to see the doctor anymore. I also declared to the enemy, you had tortured me more than 7 years because of my ignorance. I will not tolerant this any more, period!
We quoted God’s words for our fight:
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. (Isiah 53:5)
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. (1Peter 2:24)
The first couple of days were terrible. We continued to cry out to God for his deliverance. After few days, suddenly, the pain dropped and the symptoms disappeared! Over the next 6 months, I continued the fight, the symptoms became weaker and weaker. At the end of the 6 months, my pain dropped to close to 1 or mostly as 0. Praise the Lord! There is no better physician than our Lord Jesus. Plus He never charge you any payment for doctor visits!
There was a tiny spot on my neck which was still not been healed. Once a while, if I worked too long and too hard, I will start to feel discomfort at that spot. In a prayer section, the Lord showed me that it was an old hurt at my middle school time. I was carrying a heavy bike on my shoulder to go through a muddy road, it was about few miles long. I prayed several times, I still have not received my vicotry for that spot yet. But I know I was healed and I am still fighting for my healing to manifest in my life. I don’t know the reasons, but until then, I will always remember how our Lord healed my neck and back problems from pain 8 to 1.
Beloved, every time when you take the communion, when you look at the sacramental bread, what do you see? For many, that may be a piece of bread. But for me, I see the brown colored strips are broken back of our Lord Jesus. When the roman soldiers pull the whip back, our Lord’s back was broken. And that was for my healing.
I am eternally grateful for that! Yes, because his stripes, I was healed! Beloved, believe in His promise and be healed in Jesus name!
