Forgiveness of your Sins
This is Christian belief 101. Oh, but how many times we are very easily fall into the enemy's trap? If you struggles with shame and guilt, you are not alone. But do you know, how God look at you?

He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

It was a raining Saturday evening, the day already dark and the rain has started for a while. It’s not a heavy rain but the sky is dark gray, and just likes how I felt in my heart for the whole afternoon. I decided to get out of my house and drove on the city loop highway. I don’t have any specific agenda nor specific places to go. I just wanted to leave my familiar environment and take a break for a while to escape the tormenting thoughts from my old memories.
The whole afternoon, my brain was flushed with many old memories. The places and time where I had fell short in front of God’s law. How I am imperfect in my own eyes, and how I had made terrible mistakes in my life. Some adulterous sins I committed and unclean sex thoughts I had, towards some women. All the afternoon, I heard the voice which says how dirty I am and I was overwhelmed by the shame and guilt that rushes through my mind.
I drove aimlessly on the loop highway in circles. I felt that this just like my life, pushing forward, burning energy but goes nowhere. Tears started to come down from my eyes, I cried: Lord, what’s wrong with me?
The rain continued, but I hear no answers. It’s silent. After a long drive and cried for a while, I finally calm myself down and felt some peace in my heart then I went back home exhausted.
The next day was a Sunday, during the service. My pastor mentioned these words:
The Lord your God is in your midst,
A Warrior who saves.
He will rejoice over you with joy;
He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins],
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
(Zephaniah 3:17-18 AMP)
These words hit me directly to my heart! Yes, our Lord God is quiet, though I did not hear the comforting voice last night, the bible reminded me that He did not mention of my past sins. Overall, the tormenting thoughts, the accusations were not from our Lord God. These are the enemies’ voice. I was listening to the wrong channel.
Can you imagine? The Lord rejoices over me with shouts of joy!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2)
Beloved, do you know our Lord Jesus endured the cross because of his prophetic vision of His joy on us? When we come to the repentance of our past sins, He sing over us with joy! Do you know when we go circles in our life is because we are allowing the past events hinder and tangle us to move forward?
Beloved, let’s come to Him! His blood cleansings and still speaks a better covenant today. Come! Take the forgiveness of the sin through your faith today! Take it, it’s free! It was paid in full!
